Please welcome to the hotel our newest little Chihuahua Cross, Turnip.
Turnip arrived in a terrible condition and had clearly been neglected by his previous owners. His skin was sore and his coat was smelly and matted .
After a well needed spa day and groom, he is like a new man. He’s been enjoying the much needed TLC and attention by staff and volunteers.
He has a sweet nature and for a small boy, takes life in his stride. He loves affection, car rides, baths and belly rubs.
Turnip walks well on the lead and enjoys his walks, going out exploring new places and smells.
Turnip would be best suited to a home with someone around most of the time for company and to help him settle in his own time. His new owners will also need to be committed to helping him with his daily upkeep, maintenance and basic obedience.
He has shown nice manners around other dogs therefore, Turnip could potentially live with a well balanced resident neutered dog for company and socialisation.
Turnip is looking for home with humans who used to the sassy Chihuaua breed and who will really appreciate him for who he is.
He is working hard on his sharing skills, he can sometimes forget this and needs a gentle reminder with reward based training.
He loves to play with his tennis balls and is very inquisitive.
He has passed a cat test and could potentially live with a dog savvy cat who is confident.
Turnip has missed out on life skills and general day to day living. We think he’s awesome, do you?
