Introducing our gorgeous chocolate pudding pup, Theodor the Rottweiler ! Theo was unfortunately brought into our care as a stray after being handed into a vets after being found on the street. He has been enjoying his time in our care getting to learn about new things & socialising with the outside world… But Theo is now in need of his forever home, being such a young pup he needs the stability, training and time that a committed home can give him.
Theo is a lovely lad who enjoys being around his humans, he is very playful and inquisitive about the world around him. Being a puppy he is very mouthy but is learning there are more fun things to chew like toys and treats! Theo will be a very big boy, at 12-14 weeks he is growing very quickly. It would be great if his new owners had Rottweiler/large breed experience and they will need to understand how to fulfil his breed specific needs. He is a very excitable pup with a passion to learn new things, he sleeps comfortably in his crate and goes to the toilet on his puppy pads, he is now learning to toilet outside too.
Theo’s new owners will need to take him to training classes to help with socialising, general life skills and maybe some fun sports too eventually to keep his brain happy and fulfilled! He has started to show signs of resource guarding high value things so his owners will need to continue work on positive reinforcement with their trainer to help with this. He has been working on ‘swapping’ for other things and is doing really well! Theo likes his canine companions and would benefit from having another dog in the home to show him the ropes.
Depending on introductions done at the centre Theodor could also possibly live with:
– [ ] Children 16+ that are large breed experienced
– [ ] Cats
