Please whisper a gentle welcome to our lovely girl, that doesn’t live up to her namesake… Grinch!
Grinch is another bully girl carelessly dumped , we believe she is around 2 years old. When Grinch arrived in our care she was extremely scared , she was unsure of the people around her and this meant it took a little time for her to warm up. In just over a week, Grinch took a dramatic turn and has shown us the loving girl that she really is ! Once she trusts you she enjoys lots of fuss and loving & her personality really comes out when there are toys involved… she loves playing with the staff in her kennel and particularly enjoyed opening her Christmas Day presents!
Grinch likes to go on strolls with our volunteers, she is a little unsure of the outside world but is taking it in he stride and learning that it’s not so scary. Grinch walks well on the lead and has good manners . She can worried around traffic, she is slowly learning to watch from a distance whilst being rewarded for being calm. Her new humans will need continue her training to help build her general confidence and positive exposure to her worries.
She is looking for an adult only home, we believe this will set her up for success as she can truly settle in a quiet home. “Grinch is a little more fearful of men than women, she can be worried when they are in her space so her prospective owners will need to be aware of this and help her work through and build relationships.
Grinch is very inquisitive when walking near other dogs and we are sure with the correct introductions she will make lots of canine friends.
Depending on intros done at the centre she could possibly live with:
– [ ] Dogs of a similar size
– [ ] Cats
