Sonny
Introducing this handsome ray of sunshine, Sonny the 10 month old Labrador! Sonny was unfortunately brought into our care as a signover, through absolutely no fault of his own.
Sonny is a lovely boy with a very bright brain! He is struggling to settle into kennel life and has his worries about the outside world due to unfamiliar surroundings. Sonny can show his worries by barking at passers by, whether that be canine or human. However Sonny does love his human and canine friends , and he is ruled by food! So with a calm approach and some treats Sonny goes from barking to being your best pal in no time! Sonny has previously lived with canine pals too, we believe he is best suited to a home with a neutered female friend.
Sonny absolutely loves his walks , they are his release from kennel life where he gets to enjoy the outside world and sniff til his heart is content. He is only young and has missed out on important socialisation and training that is needed…Sonny is strong on the lead and will need owners that can commit to going back to basics with training and teach him how to ‘dog’ properly. He is an absolute joy to train and catches on very quickly so should take to this with no issues. He is an avid tennis ball fan and loves playing games in the garden with our volunteers!
Depending on intros done at the centre Sonny could possibly live with:
