Meet Carrot the lurcher, another long legged beauty in our care. Carrot arrived with us as a stray , the poor boy was absolutely covered in fleas. He has since been treated for this and had a spa day with our staff to make him feel squeaky clean!
Carrot is around 2 years old, he is a lovely boy that enjoys his human company. Carrot will lean into his trusted humans for cuddles and never turns down a neck scratch! He has been enjoying going on walks with our volunteers and has the funniest little lurcher trot when he gets excited ! Carrots favourite thing to do on a walk is sniff the whole time, his nose stays down so that he can reach his daily sniff count ! He is also known to be a bit of a fashionista with his coats & jumpers to keep that lurcher body warm!
Like all our dogs, carrot will need to attend training classes to keep up with his general manners and socialisation. He has been quite interested in his canine companions on walks but passes them with no issues, we believe he could possibly live with other dogs of a similar energy depending on intros done at the centre. He could also possibly live with children of all ages and cats .
