Selsig

Introducing selsig, the two year old dachshund! Selsig is your typical cheeky sausage dog who loves to play and has bundles of energy. He is now looking for his forever home to share all his sausage dog love with!

Selsig is a very loving boy who gets attached to his human and loves to be around them for cuddles . He can be nervous when he first meets people, and uses his big sausage bark to warn them to lead with a hands-off approach! Once Selsig has warmed up to you he will be your pal for life. He likes strolls along the river ending in cuddles and a run around in the pen back at the centre!

Selsig is a chunky sausage and is currently on a diet, his new owners will need to keep up with this and make sure he stays lean to support his long back! He will need to attend training classes to build his confidence with people and learn basic doggie skills.

Selsig finds his confidence with other dogs , he likes to go on walks with his doggie pals and you see his personality shine the most when he is with a canine companion. For this reason we believe he would benefit from living with  a resident dog of a similar size who matches his bouncy energy. Selsig could possibly live with older children 16+ who understand that he needs time to settle and likes to live life in the quiet lane, depending on introductions done at the centre
