I need a quiet home, I need someone with breed experience, I am not suitable for first-time dog owners, I have additional medical needs, I would need my new owner to take me to training classes, I need some time to get to know new people
This beautiful girl is Myka, she is 3 year old Pocket Bully who arrived in our care as a stray.
She has been with us for approximately a year, Myka was placed in an experienced foster home to help her work on training. She has spent a number of months working on her training plan that has been put together by our site behaviourist.
She is ready to find her forever home with committed humans.
Myka is seeking a peaceful and loving environment where she can unwind. Given her adjustment period, we believe a home with adults only would be most suitable for her. Once comfortable, she is a true sweetheart. Myka will need time to build trust and adapt to new surroundings. She has been enjoying her walks and is becoming more relaxed.
Mkya has smashed muzzle training and associations the muzzle as a positive part of her adventures.
As with all new rescue dogs, we strongly recommend enrolling Myka in a training class to enhance her socialization skills and confidence building. Also continuing with her current plan that her foster mum has put so much work into.
Myka could potentially live with a calm male dog of similar size, she has shown good progress and with slow introductions she may find a friend.
Myka is thriving in foster, She is quite amusing and always greets her foster parents with a gift, whether it’s a toy or a doorstop. Myka proudly parades around to show it off. She loves being tucked in at night and is happiest when sleeping or rolling around in the field.
Myka is making remarkable progress with her socialising skills.
Myka is crate trained and is happy to be left alone for periods throughout the day. She is very good and is able to keep herself amused with playing and snoozing.
She has recently had surgery to her knees to better her quality of life. Myka will require multiple introductions at the centre with her new humans and she requires someone who is knowledgeable with similar behaviour backgrounds.
